Abram Newbart, our subjects father, was born( )ctober 14, 1814, in Smithfield township, where hegrew to manhood and married Miss Susanna Hau-ser, a native of the same locality, born September 10,1816. He then settled upon a farm in Smithfieldtownship, now Delaware Water Cap borough, andhis death occurred there ( )ctober 4, 1886, his esti-mable wife having died a few years previous, onDecember 26, 1879. ()^ their ten children: (t)Elizabeth, born September 20, 184t . died in in-fancy. (2) Jemima, born November 9, 1842, mar-ried J. Van Elouser, of Smithfield township, andresided in Delaware Water Gap borough, whereshe died in 18S2. Her husband survived her.
