The dis-charge is six inches high, and two tons of ore are crushed per stampevery twenty-four hours. Chrome steel shoes and dies are used, andcost 8^ cents per pound. No. 9 slot-punched screens are the kindused, the screen frames being divided into three parts to each batteryof seven inches in width by seventeen inches in length.
