This is only one of many instances which, if recounted, would illustrate the liber-ality as well as the patriotism and local pride of Mr. Pullman. It would seem, however,impossible for any one man ever to rear a monument to the honor and glory of his country andto his own credit so substantial, so influential, and so wholly valuable as is the town
