An old Brittlegil (Russula) mushroom pushing its way through brown fallen pine needles, on the forest floor of a pine plantation on the great escarpment of South Africa. The Primrose Brittlegill is a mushroom from the Russula genus which commonly grows in Coniferous woodlands, and although some sources claims that it is edible, it causes stomach cramps and diarrhoea
