The 14th century five arch ragstone bridge is a classic view of the middle reaches of the River Medway Medway, the towpath of which is a favourite haunt of fishermen. Nearby is Barham Court, onetime home of one of the knights who murdered Thomas a Becket in Canterbury Cathedral
