David Paterline, a World War II reenactor representing a soldier with the 2nd Ranger Battalian, says that as a Mascoutah middle school history teacher, preserving America's history is important. Attending air shows helps him keep the history alive, and he especially enjoys teaching the younger generation. While attending this year's air show, he is impartial to multiple historical aircrafts, including the JN-4 Jenny and the Avenger.
