Derelict and closed Chorleywood Signalbox on the Metropolitan railway line between Harrow and Amersham,UK
Chorleywood station was opened in 1889 by the Metropolitan Railway. The station is now served by both the Metropolitan line and Chiltern Railways. At the end of Platform 1 (the northbound) is the disused . Taken out of service in the 1960s, it is one of the few remaining manual signal boxes left on the MR, This structure is Locally Listed by Three Rivers District Council, but in 2013 when this picture was taken it was seen to be in a bad state of repair.
