TSS Fairstar cruise ship moored in Port Vila, Vanuatu in 1984 after cruising from Sydney, Australia. Originally a British troop ship Oxfordshire she was converted to the Liner Fairstar (Sitmar) and travelled between England and Australia until 1974 when she began full time South Pacific cruises until her final voyage in 1997.
The photographer, Stephen Dwyer worked on board the Fairstar for 11 months in 1984 as a shop person and documented much of life onboard.
