Because of his knowledge of the subject, this associa-tion called him to Mexico last summer to lay out directions forfighting the Orange Maggot. The circular states that the Orange Maggot is distributed overa large portion of Mexico. It attacks several fruits other thancitrus fruits and this makes it more difficult to control. In orderthat the members of the association may work intelligently onthe fly, a biief life history is given. Mr. Crawford gives twosets of directions for the control work. One method is to pickup the fruit as fast as it falls and to destroy it while the maggotis still working inside.
