Staff Sgt. Donald Simmons, 23rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, prepares an A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft for flight May 2 at Hill AFB, Utah. Along with the A-10s, F-16 and F-22 aircraft from Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, and Hickam AFB, Hawaii, respectively, participated in Combat Hammer at the Utah Test and Training Range. During Combat Hammer, precision-guided air-to-ground weapons are evaluated for reliability, maintainability, suitability and accuracy. ( Air Force/R. Nial Bradshaw)
