A brave young couple in brief swimwear jump into the pool at the Meiringspoort Waterfall which is situated in the Meiringspoort Pass near the town of De Rust in the area called the Klein Karoo in the Western Cape. It is free to enter and is a short walk from the nearby N12 road. It is a popular picnic area.
Meiringspoort (Afrikaans for "Meiring's pass") is a South African mountain pass on the N12 national road, where it crosses the Swartberg mountain range.
