The 260th Regiment Regional Training Center, located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, serves Guardsmen and women around the nation as a Military Training Facility. The facility contains a 117-person auditorium, 50-person classrooms, lodging facility, dining hall and a virtual convoy operator trainer. Brig. Gen. Hinaman is Commander, Land Component Command, District of Columbia National Guard. He is responsible for the overall readiness, training, maintenance and operational employment of the units assigned and attached to the District of Columbia Army National Guard. Brig. Gen. Sasseville is the Commander, 113th Wing, District of Columbia Air National Guard, Andrews Air Force Base, Md. He is responsible for over 1200 personnel in support of both F-16 (Air Combat Command) fighter and C-38 and C-40 VIP airlift (Air Mobility Command) aircraft missions. The 57th Presidential Inauguration was held in Washington on Monday, January 21, 2013. The Inauguration included the Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, Inaugural Address, Inaugural Parade and numerous inaugural balls and galas honoring the elected President of the United States. During the 10-day inaugural period approximately 6,000 National Guard personnel from over 30 states and territories worked for Joint Task Force-District of Columbia, providing traffic control, crowd management, transportation, communication, medical and logistical support as well as marching in the Inaugural Parade.
