The Monastery San Julian of Samos is one of the oldest monasteries of Spain. It´s origins go back to the 8th century. It makes part of the legendary Saint James pilgrim´s route to Santiago de Compostela. Inside of the monastery can bee seen wall paintings by different artists representing the monastic life of the Benedictine Order.
