Mosque, Yagodina, Bulgaria
The village of Yagodina lies in the western part of the Rhodopi mountain, close to the border with Greece. It is situated about 26km to the south of the town of Devin and 226km to the southeast of Sofia. The road to Yagodina passes through the amazing Byunovsko gorge, towering over both sides of the Buynovka river. Yagodina is a small, modern village, nestling in the hills beneath the St Iliya peak to the north and the Durdaga peak to the south. The biggest landmark of the village is the famous Yagodinska cave, also known as the Imam’s Hole (Imamova Dupka). The cave has been molded by the Buynova river that further grows into the Vucha river.
