Although there be no colophon to this elegant little volume (heremuch diminished in size by the tools of some former binder) yet thefirst glance of the style of art, in the frontispice, clearly stamps it to bethe production of a Florence Press. As this frontispiece exhibits anelegant specimen of art, strongly similar to what is seen in vol. ii. pages299-301 of the Bibliographical Decameron, it may be worth submittingit to the readers notice—as illustrative of the early history of decorativeprinting.
