Lichtenberg Castle is the landmark of the Bottwar Valley and is one of the best preserved castles from the Staufer period. It’s known in documents since 1197. This hillside castle is still inhabited and can be booked for weddings, etc., (it has an own chapel). The barons von und zu Weiler are also owning the vinery yards below. The castle has been never destroyed.
