An alcohol lamp is also used, for heating the plat-inum point. The bulb is at one end, the bottle in the center,and the point at the other end. The cut herewith illustratesa bulb which is seamless in construction, as also is the second- ,^ -5?rJ- ary bulb, or air reservoir, which is the larger of the two.
