An Egyptian named Bitou changed into an Apis Bull, the sacred bull worshiped by Egyptians, and visited his former wife.

According to Egyptian Mythology, a pharaoh fell in love with the wife of a man named Bitou, who killed all who came to take her. The pharaoh, however, enticed her away. She then told the pharaoh of Bitou's secret - his heart was atop an acacia tree. The pharaoh had the tree cut down and Bitou died. Bitou's brother, through magic, learned what happened, came to his brother, revived him and Bitou changed into an Apis Bull, the sacred bull worshipped by Egyptians. As this bull, he visited his former wife (pictured here in this 1915 illustration by American artist Evelyn Paul). The wife had the pharaoh promise to kill the bull, which he did, but the bull came back as an acacia tree. More treachery followed and finally the wife, in the end, meets her own death.
