Kilauea eruption lava flow. Solidified lava that has flowed from a fissure during an eruptive episode on Kilauea, a volcano on the main island of Hawaii. The lava has a consistency similar to toothpaste. Kilauea is the most active of the volcanoes on Hawaii. This activity is part of the 2018 lower Puna eruption that began in May 2018. This lava flows is from fissure 17, photographed on 22 May 2018.
