150 Year Anniversary since Napoleon III, French Imperial Family in-exile arrived at Camden Place, Kent, UK Picture shows Eliza Prentice cleaning the bust of Empress Eugénie inside the hall at Camden Place in Chislehurst sculpted by Anthony Samuel Adam-Solomon dated 1863. In the background The Napoleon bust completed whilst the Emperor was lying in state during 1873 by sculptor Carpeaux. Once the home of French Emperor Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie after being deposed in 1870 and both moving to England, where they lived at Camden Place until his death in 1873. His wife, Eugenie, the daughter of a Spanish nobleman, Count of Teba, bore him their only legitimate son, The Prince Imperial, and heir to the Empire.
