Statue of George Peabody, Royal Exchange, Cornhill, City of London, UK George Peabody (1795 to 1869) was an entrepreneur and philanthropist who founded the Peabody Trust housing association. It is bronze statue by William Wetmore Story cast in Rome by Alessandro Nelli's foundry and unveiled in July 1869 shortly before Peabody's death.
