Col. Martin Wohlgemuth, commander, Area Support Group-Kuwait, shares his personal story during a Purple Heart Ceremony hosted by the USO, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Aug. 7, 2022. Wohlgemuth asked attendees to join him in advocating for injured service members and veterans. He acknowledged the million Purple Heart recipients then added not all wounded service members wear the Medal. Wohlgemuth reemphasized that all services need to reach out to each other via IRL (in real life) and ask for help when needed.
