The Fortress Peovica Mirabella, Omis, Croatia
Peovica Mirabella, the fortress difficult to conquer, recalls the time of the courage and strength of the Omis pirates. It was built at the beginning of the 13th century on the foundation dating far back to the time of the Byzantine emperor Basilius (867-886), but it has undergone numerous changes in the years to come.
