On 12th October 2007 the Rio Gorgos burst its banks after days of exceptionally heavy rain. This scene is of the river the day after the floods. The water is still high but has dropped from the level it had reached. The silt is visible on the road. The water is brown with the mud and silt washed down from the mountains.
