Adonis vernalis flowers from mid-April to May The plant originates from Siberia and the Altai. In Germany grows it only regionally, then always on dry grasslands or on edge of pine forests. In the Uckermark and in the Lower Oder Valley there are some occurrences that are strictly protected.
