Close to Cheapside, Wood Street lies at the heart of the City of London, the historic centre and primary financial district of London. The Guild Church of St Mary Aldermary is an Anglican church located in Watling Street at the junction with Bow Lane, in the City of London. Of medieval origin, it was rebuilt from 1510. Here we see it surrounded by gleaming new banks and financial buildings.
