PEARL HARBOR (Jan. 27, 2016) Pearl Harbor survivor liaison retired Master Chief Yeoman James Taylor commences an ash-scattering ceremony for Pearl Harbor survivor Coxswain John S. Pidcock above the waters of the USS Utah Memorial on Ford Island, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Pidcock was stationed aboard the USS Tangier (AV-8) during the 1941 Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor. His ashes, along with his wife Bonnie’s ashes, joined the remains of the Sailors still aboard USS Utah, which was sunk during the 1941 attacks.
