Descriptive catalogue of new, rare and beautiful plants, dahlias, chrysanthemums, geraniums, fuchsias, carnations, verbenas, phloxes, &c. for spring, 1873, cultivated and for sale by John Saul, nurseryman, seed grower and importer. Nurseries (Horticulture) Catalogs; Plants Catalogs; Flowers Seeds Catalogs. Descriptive Catalogue. 19 id wa. :r,:f FREE FLOWERING A beautiful dwarf, free-flowering Pomegranate from Louisville, Ivy. It blooms freely in a very small state, and larger specimens are sheets of bloom. In the Middle and Southern States, it is highly recommended for bedding pur- poses, being a profuse bloomer, and exceedingly desirable from its rich color, brilliant orange scarlet. For fall and winter blooming, in the green house, it is equally valuable, where cut flowers are required. In this latitude, it will be found nearly or quite hardy, needing at most but slight protection in very cold weather.
