He had consequently al-ready been here in prison for two months to payfor his folly, and would possibly have to remainsome months longer, for, according to Beluchlaw—which is in force here—such a crime de-serves severe punishment. Next to the Tashil was the thana and Police-station, with a police thanedar, one sergeant andnine (Punjab) constables, as well as a levyjej7iadar with one duffadar and ten sawars. There is a practical little hospital at Nushki,with eight beds and a dispensary, but the healthof the place seemed very good, and there wereno patients when I visited it.
