Morecambe, UK. 12th Dec, 2016. The first Pantomime in thirty years is set to be staged at Morecambe’s Winter Gardens Theatre, the Grade II* listed was originally built as the Victoria Pavilion Theatre in 1897. The theatre closed to the public in 1977 a and a campaign for its restoration has been ongoing since 1986. Cinderella is being staged by Tracey Austins Dance Factory and has been given a local twist with reference to the soon to be demolished Polo Tower and the Local Football Team the Shrimps Credit: David Billinge/Alamy Live News
