General colour above greyish brown, the brown more pronounced on the hind neck and on the crown of the head ; quills brown ; tail dark brown with white tips; the upper tail-coverts of the same colour as the back, and very long, so as to cover more than half of the tail; loral and uasal regions, sides of head, and the breast duU white, washed with ftilvous or yellowish; some of the feathers of the underparts with faintly darker subterminal cross bars; under tail-coverts and abdomen duU yellowish white ; under wing-coverts reddish brown ; inner web of quills edged witli pinkish isabelline ; bill and feet brown. Total length 4 inches, culmeu 0'45, wing 2-4, tail 1-8, tarsus 0-7. Hah.
