Across France the old yellow and white roadside marker stones ( see Alamy ref: BJTAB7 for and example) are being ripped out and replaced by flat panels such as this. The stones that are being replaced have guided travellers for many years and are part of French travel history. This image was taken in a rural part of the Gard Deatment in the south of France
