The small, double, sulphur-colored flowers are pro dueed from every joint, and the pronounced musk like odor from leaves and flowers is very powerful, a siDgle plant seeming a large room. This pi?nt will be per- fectly hardy at the south, the tops dying down in the fall but sprouting from underground stems the follow- inw spring. Here is an opportunity to get one of the best and most easily grown at a reasonable price. Cypridium Insigne. One of the first tropical Or- chids introduced to cultivation, and still one of the best for general cultivation. The plans will do well in any ordinary greenhouse, or even in a sunny window. C. Insigne is one of the cheapest species, and at the same time one of the easiest of cultivation, and on these accounts is most strongly recommended to the beginner.
