Mount Vodice (SLO) WWI : the entrance into one of the kilometrical galleries into the mountain's underground. The galleries of mount Vodice form the widest underground system of the Isonzo front. It was part of the Austro-Hungarian defence line, before being used by the Italian infantry, in May 1917. the long galleries can still be visited using great caution because they are subject to landslides.
