Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. During the WWI Isonzo battles mount Ermada was an impregnable bulwark of the Austro-Hungarian army in defense of Trieste. The remains of the trenches and military walkways are still visible today along its sides. The Grafova Jama (Fire Cave) is a Karst cave. The cave it was remodeled as a shelter for Austro-Hungarian soldiers during the First World War.
