Bass Rock island. Firth of Forth, south-east Scotland
The Bass Rock island is a famous Scottish landmark located in the outer part of the Firth of Forth and out toward the North Sea. It is home to a very large colony of gannet seabirds. The Bass Rock Lighthouse on the island dates from 1902. In the photograph, the Isle of May island on the horizon in the far distance.
