Most heating oil tanks have the facility for a padlock and even a modest medium security lock costing only a few pounds or dollars should be enough to discourage opportunist theives Rising oil prices have led to increased theft from small home tanks. The padlock is a "Squire" brand but this is my own tank. If the brand name is a problem please choose B0MWWN or B0MY77 which show plain brass locks
