In pointof appearance, the Princes palace, which was also employedas a Police Station, was easily first in its expression of martialcapability. Dushet is charmingly situated, and as it is withineasy reach of the cosmopolitan pleasures of Tiflis, it is theplace I should recommend for a prolonged spring or autumnstay on the Georgian Road, Ancient history pervades the Caucasus, and the last townon the road is a strange link between past and present.
