In the open forest, and at times on thelower stony foothills of the more elevatedregions, the Sable Antelope may be found insmall groups of five or six, and in herds ofthirty or more. Occasionally in the summerseason single animals are met with, but,taken as a general rule, sable are extremelygregarious.
