WASHINGTON (Sept. 18, 2013) Cmdr. Ingrid Paulie, Special Psychiatric Rapid Intervention Team unit leader, speaks with members of the Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) team upon arrival at the Washington Navy Yard. An EFAC is comprised of Naval District Washington family support staff, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center clinicians, the Navy's Special Psychiatric Rapid Intervention Team, from Portsmouth, Va., the FBI, and other support agencies. It is the central point for promoting short and long-term recovery following a significant incident.
