Theshow was crownedwith the immis-sion of water intothe arena, andwith a sea-fightrepresenting thecontests of the Cor-inthians and Cor-cyreans, relatedby the gamesand shows there was still more to be seen from this height. Then,even early in the morning, the people swayed hither and thither inthe long rows of seats in the Circus Mdxiinus, which lay betweenthe Palatine and Aventine, in order to secure the best seats; andin the boarding-houses and inns there were lively scenes.
