Alloway Village, Ayrshire, Scotland ,UK .Alloway is a leafy suburb of Ayr in south Ayrshire, birthplace of Robert Burns. Alloway was once a small village but is now considered a suburb of Ayr, situated just miles south of Ayr, reached by the B7024. It is perhaps best known as the birthplace of Robert Burns (1759 - 1796), Scotland's national poet. A picturesque row of shops and houses form the centre of the village with pharmacy, grocers, cafe, and post office. Opposite is the Burns Cottage
