Last year I went up to the top with Mr. Hamilton, then PoliceMagistrate, in search of some remains of its antiquity, but returnedunsuccessful. Since I have sent up my headmen, with no betterresult. I have, however, been able to procure three stone balls found in thepossession of villagers of Bombure, at the foot of the peak, and saidto be some of those that have been found on the peak. H. P.
