Close-up of the infected wound on the wrist of a 67 year old male patient, two weeks after the vein was harvested for a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). The yellow pus seen is due to bacterial infection. During CABG a healthy vein (from the arm in this case) is attached to the diseased coronary artery of the heart, bypassing the blocked coronary artery. (see image 2 showing whole arm)
