The Mount Washington Cog Rail started taking passengers to the 6288 foot summit of New Englands highest mountain in 1869 and has been continuosly running ever since. Pictured is an old fashoned coal powered steam engine used to power to the top of the first of its' kind cog rail system in the World during peak foliage season, vertical.
