Portsmouth, Hampshire Wednesday 11th November 2015 An ambulance has crashed into a parked car after swerving to avoid a car while responding to a 999 call in Portsmouth. The emergency vehicle was answering a 999 travelling on the London Road in North End with its lights flashing and siren on when the incident happened at around on Wednesday . The emergency vehicle was answering a 999 travelling on the London Road in North End with its lights flashing and siren on when the incident happened at around on Wednesday . Police were called to the scene outside Doyle Court North End. Queuing Traffic built on road whilst Police carrier out there investigation. A Police spokeman confirmed that no one sustained any injuries in the incident and the ambulance was not carry a patient onboard at the time of the incident. A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that another ambulance was sent to deal with the 999 call after the crash. A witness at the near by Co-operative Supermarket near the scene said the ambulance crashed after swerving to avoid a black car that pulled out from Amberley Road. I could hear and the sirens and see the lights flashing and the man just carried on pulling out whilst al the other cars and stopped to let the Ambulance pass. I saw the Black Honda pull into the path of ambulance. The unnamed worker said that she felt lucky as she was going to park in the space that the Ambulance hit.©UKNIP
