Bupyung-ring is one of the finest and most beautifulregions I have seen in Tibet. The flat wide valley,surrounded by mountains with ice and snow, is clothedwith abundant grass and traversed by numerous water-courses. Everywhere are seen traces of the time we passed through only a few tent villagesremained, but the valley is full of life in summer whenthe nomads come down from the north.
