Illustration of a Paludidraco filter-feeding. Paludidraco were a nothosaur marine reptiles that inhabited the seas of the Triassic, from around 251 to 201 million years ago. They are thought to have lived like seals do today, coming ashore on coasts. They reached lengths of around 3 metres.
