It is hitched to oxen toconvey produce from the fields or to transport any heavy material. Strong wooden stakesare planted in a heavy forked wooden base to serve as warps. The walls are completedwith pliable wooden wefts and the base filled in with a wicker floor, or latterly withwooden planks (see no. 1 in Materials below).
