Morning fog rests over Poi Kalon Sqaure. Bukhara, Uzbekistan.


The square at Poi Kalon is one of Bukhara's most famous and historic. Rising over it at over 48 meters is the Kalon Minaret. Inscriptions date it to 1127. So impressed by the minaret's height and beauty, Genhis Khan is supposed to have spared it while he had the rest of the city destroyed. Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
